1. Overview & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Haulprint Technologies Inc. (“Haulprint”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you use our freight verification, tracking, and document management platform in the United States.

This policy applies to broker workspace users, motor carriers completing onboarding packets, and commercial motor vehicle drivers receiving shipment tracking links.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to verify motor carriers, track active freight in transit, and maintain an auditable chain of custody:

• Broker Workspace Information: Name, work email address, company name, DOT/MC authority number, billing contact details, and platform activity logs.
• Carrier Onboarding Information: Legal business name, DBA, USDOT number, MC/FF number, taxpayer identification number (EIN/SSN on W-9), Certificate of Insurance (COI) details, payment remittance preferences, and authorized representative signature with IP and timestamp.
• Driver & Haul Telemetry: Mobile phone number (for SMS dispatch only), browser-reported GPS coordinates, device timestamp, speed, and heading while an assigned load is active.
• Freight Paperwork: Scanned Bill of Lading (BOL), Proof of Delivery (POD), photos, and accompanying load reference tags.
• Anti-Fraud Technical Telemetry: IP address, network ping latency, proxy/VPN/Tor indicators, and browser environment during carrier onboarding sessions.

3. Driver Geolocation & Privacy Guarantee

Unlike traditional tracking vendors that require drivers to download battery-draining apps that run in the background 24/7, Haulprint operates entirely in the mobile web browser:

1. Express Driver Consent: When the driver taps the tracking link received via SMS, the mobile browser explicitly prompts the driver to permit location sharing for that specific shipment.
2. Single-Haul Visibility: Location updates are collected exclusively during the transit of that individual dispatched load.
3. Zero Persistent or Off-Duty Tracking: As soon as the driver uploads the POD, marks the load delivered, or closes the tracking browser tab, all location transmission stops. We have zero technical capability or desire to monitor a driver's location when they are off duty or hauling for another party.
4. Driver Transparency: The web page clearly displays what information is shared, the current shipment status, and which brokerage is receiving the updates.

4. Carrier Onboarding & Verification Data

We query the FMCSA SAFER public database using the carrier's MC or DOT number to confirm operating authority, out-of-service status, safety rating, and inspection history. Carrier onboarding data submitted via Haulprint links (e.g., W-9, COI, signed agreements) is encrypted and made available solely to the brokerage that requested it, unless the carrier explicitly chooses to share its portable verified profile with another broker.

5. How We Use Information

We use collected data solely for legitimate business operations:

• To authenticate broker and carrier users.
• To verify motor carrier credentials against official USDOT records.
• To display real-time map positions, ETA estimates, and route playback for active loads.
• To compile tamper-evident digital records of BOL and POD documents.
• To prevent freight fraud, double-brokering, and carrier identity theft.

6. Tenant Isolation & Zero Data Selling

Haulprint enforces strict multi-tenant isolation. Your carrier contacts, lane volumes, rates, and historical tracking data belong exclusively to your brokerage tenant and are never commingled, shared with competitors, or monetized.

We do not sell personal data: Haulprint does not sell, rent, or lease personal information, commercial driver locations, or carrier records to data brokers, marketing firms, or third-party advertisers.

7. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) Disclosures

For California residents, including commercial motor vehicle drivers operating in or residing in California:

• Categories Collected: Identifiers (name, phone, IP), commercial records (freight paperwork, carrier authority), and geolocation data (transient browser GPS during active haul).
• Business Purpose: Providing logistics software, dispatch visibility, and fraud prevention.
• Sale / Share of Personal Information: We do NOT sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Your Rights: California residents have the right to request access to their personal data, request deletion, request correction of inaccurate data, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

8. Security & Data Retention

We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards:

• All network communications are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / 1.2).
• Data at rest is secured with AES-256 encryption.
• Access controls are restricted based on principle of least privilege.
• Active load telemetry is retained for the duration required for freight auditing, detention dispute resolution, and legal record retention, after which detailed GPS point clouds are pruned.

9. Driver Choices & Opt-Out

Drivers maintain full control over browser location permissions. At any point, a driver may pause or revoke location access directly through their mobile browser settings (e.g., Safari or Chrome site permissions) or by closing the shipment tracking browser tab.
